De Skulp Friesland, Leeuwarden location walk-in moments

A place where people can share their stories. A place for a listening ear, or just a place for distraction. At the Skulp Friesland, we offer a place for people dealing with cancer. For patients, ex-patients or loved ones alike, our door is open. Don't be afraid, you are not alone. Come in for a hot cup of coffee or tea. Our focus is not on the nasty disease, but on life around it. Our volunteers offer a warm welcome and a listening ear. You decide what to talk about! There is also room for relaxation, lectures, reintegration, resilience and exercise. At one of our four locations in Friesland, you can take shelter and recover, and then move on. Will you come along? Every Thursday, our hostesses/hostesses are present.

The garden opens again! Help out during NLdoet on Friday 13 or Saturday 14 March

Would you, alone or together with your colleagues, sports team or group of friends like to make a real difference? Then sign up for NLdoet on 13 or 14 March 2026 and help us get the Social Food Gardens Leeuwarden ready for the new season! NLdoet is the largest volunteer action in the Netherlands, organised by the Oranje Fonds. Two days where we work together, meet and build a more sustainable and social city. What are we going to do? During NLdoet, we will make the garden ready for the new growing season. Think about: Pulling compost and preparing cultivation beds Starting a food experience path for education Refurbish a second-hand shed Sowing, planting and initial preparations for the season No experience is necessary, everyone is welcome. Whether you have green fingers or just feel like being outdoors. Working together, eating togetherAnd of course that includes something tasty. Stichting 058 Samen Sterk will again be ready with hot soup and tasty snacks for all volunteers. A nice reward after a morning of rolling up your sleeves together. Why take part:With your efforts, you will not only help get the garden up and running, but you will also contribute to: Poverty alleviation Preventive health Biodiversity Participation & meeting in the neighbourhood Food education Together, we make the garden a place where residents can sow, harvest, learn and meet again.

Moody's A place for and by young people! Young people aged 12 to 27 can come here with all their questions and ideas, but also to get to know others, learn new things and discover what you like. Our regular opening hours are Monday to Friday from 13:00 to 17:00 and on Thursday evenings we have dinner together between 17:00 and 19:00. But! If you don't have Instagram but would like to know the schedule,please send an email or app to one of the contacts or email moodys@amaryllisleeuwarden.nl What is there to do with us?Our activities vary from period to period. We work together with young people and organise what is needed. So do you have a good idea? Then we can help you make it happen! Sports activities, game tournaments, craft afternoons, game nights, cooking clubs and recording podcasts are just a few examples of what is or can be done. Apart from the activities, there are also several youth workers you can turn to with questions about money, housing, work, school, relationships and mental health. More info? Feel free to drop in. College: A musical tour of The United States

King in Stadsschouwburg De Harmonie - Saturday evening 7 March 2026 - 20:30. Where: Theatre De Bres, LeeuwardenSpeaker: Marc Stakenburg Join us on a musical adventure and journey along ten American cities. In each city, we will be introduced to a defining genre for the country's musical history. We go from jazz, to blues, rock and roll, soul, gospel, folk, country, punk and West Coast music. The names involved include; Louis Armstrong, Elvis, Aretha Franklin, Bob Dylan, Stevie Wonder, The Beach Boys, Lou Reed, Bruce Springsteen, as well as the The Beatles and The Stones. With the help of lots of music, clips and images, we take a trip through time and the music comes to life. All this against the backdrop of the story of black America with its slavery, racism and the resistance of Martin Luther King, for example. In the end, the connection between all these genres is clear and we know where the music comes from that we still listen to every day. Let's get it on, to paraphrase Marvin Gaye. The best-known programmes he made were Theatre of Sentiment and Leidsekade Live. Since 1982, he has visited the United States frequently and wrote the bestselling book MusicTrails USA, about the history of American music. As a teacher of pop history, he was affiliated with the Conservatory of Amsterdam and the Rockacademie Tilburg. He lectures on various music subjects for the Vrije Academie, among others. He also guides and organises music tours to various countries. He was awarded the Golden Radio Ring and the Silver Travel Microphone.

Talking together about the loss of your child With this support group, you are not alone. You will meet people with whom you can share your story and who understand you. Discover what can help you cope with loss and grief. This group is a collaboration between Amaryllis and Sichtpunt. Two facilitators from Sichtpunt lead the meetings.
