Becoming a client of Food Bank Leeuwarden

Do you live in the municipality of Leeuwarden and have little money for groceries? Then you may be able to get help from Food Bank Leeuwarden. You can register as a client. You can do so in three different ways: 

  1. Via the website: fill in the application form at https://voedselbankleeuwarden.nl/klanten/aanmelden
  2. By phone: call the Food Bank on 058 255 39 94  
  3. By e-mail: send an e-mail: to info@voedselbankleeuwarden.nl 

What happens after you sign up?
You will receive an invitation for a welcome interview at the Food Bank. This interview is on a working day between 09.30 and 12.00. During the interview, we look at your income and expenses together. This is how we know whether you can become a client of the Food Bank.

What happens when you become a customer?
Can you become a client? Then you will discuss at which location: in Leeuwarden or in Grou. 

  • In Leeuwarden, you choose your own groceries on a fixed day and time during the week.  
  • In Grou, you can collect a food parcel once a fortnight on a Wednesday morning. 

Talking again after a while
After about 6 months, you will have another interview. We will discuss your situation together again and whether food aid is still needed.

Cost 
It costs nothing to become a client of the Food Bank.
