Sometimes you find yourself pondering all sorts of things on your own. Then it is nice to exchange thoughts with peers (60+), which can be done during the UP! group discussions. "It is great to be able to vent your heart and listen to the stories of others. I'm really glad I signed up." - Wilma (81). Using open-ended questions, introduced by a trained discussion leader, we talk about important topics that matter as you get older. Central are topics you don't talk about so easily, such as regret, goodbye or family. These are not 'heavy' conversations, we just talk about them. A listening ear at the table can offer recognition, inspiration and support. So feel free to drop by (spontaneously). There is coffee and sweets. There are no costs involved. Do you sometimes find planning difficult? Do you find it hard to keep an overview, or are tasks left unfinished when you do want to move forward? Then the Planning and Organising training is for you! You will discover your own patterns and habits: what am I actually doing? And why does it work sometimes or not? We work with clear explanations, but above all with practical exercises that you can immediately use in your own week. During four sessions, we actively work on:- Procrastination and distraction;- How your thoughts influence your behaviour;- Picking up and completing tasks;- Setting priorities;- Dealing with temptations;- Different diary systems;- Making a realistic schedule.

The volunteers and professional staff at the Legal Support Centre in Leeuwarden assist status holders in the province of Friesland. We assist them with their family reunification applications and legal questions. Available by telephone Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 12:30. More than 50 people get exercise every week at five different locations, and participants also take part in nutrition meetings, cooking workshops, healthy shopping and other activities aimed at a healthier lifestyle. Self-help Online: weekly digital contact for people with mental vulnerability

In Self-help Online, a participant has weekly contact with a trained expert by experience. We do this online, usually via email contact (within our secure environment) but sometimes also via (visual) phone calls. How and how often we have contact depends on the participant and the experience expert he or she is paired with. After we have received someone's application, we will pair him or her with the experience expert in our team who best suits him or her. So a participant is always in contact with the same person who can share their story and hopefully find recognition. During the first meeting, agreements are made about how the participant and the expert by experience want to maintain contact with each other. What the contact is about is up to the participant. Sometimes someone just wants to have a chat, or prefers to talk about the challenges he or she encounters in daily life. Anything goes. Together with our expert by experience, the participant decides how to work on his or her recovery and what form of contact best suits this. Self-help Online is particularly suitable for people who cannot come to us physically, for example because the distance is too great or because coming to the Practice House is still too exciting. A person can apply via the website or via leeuwarden@ixtanoa.nl. After we have received the application, we will schedule an intake meeting in which we express mutual expectations and here is room for any questions.
