Going to the gym together with a blind resident
My question
In my role as Volunteer Engagement Adviser, I am working with a resident who is looking for a buddy to help them get back into regular exercise at the gym.
The gentleman is 37 years old, lives in Bilgaard and has been completely blind for a number of years. He lives with his parents and has few social contacts. As he would like to get active again, he is looking for a workout buddy. He receives WIA benefits, so the choice of gym will partly be based on the cost. He has a taxi pass; he would prefer to exercise not too far from home, but this is not essential.
If you work out at a gym and would like to join this gentleman for a session, or if you’d like to work out on your own and would enjoy doing so with this resident, please get in touch with me by email a.sanders@amaryllisleeuwarden.nl or on 06 2092 7279 (also available via WhatsApp and Signal)
Details
