GIPS Foundation

Stichting Gips S&L, Gehandicapten Informatie Project Scholen, has been active for more than 30 years in Limburg in the field of integration of people with disabilities in society and working on the image of people with disabilities. It does this by visiting primary schools and playfully introducing pupils, group 7/8, to various disabilities. By driving a wheelchair themselves, walking a blind cane (and many more practical experiences), children get our insight into what it is like to live with a disability. All this is accompanied by a team of staff members who themselves have disabilities. In particular, they show that despite a disability, a lot is still possible.
