Abbingahiem, Noorderbreedte care centre

Abbingahiem is a lively and welcoming care home in Leeuwarden, home to 160 people with somatic and/or psychogeriatric care needs. We believe it is important that residents feel at home and are able to spend their days in a way that suits them.

At Abbingahiem, wellbeing is key. As well as day-to-day care, there is a strong focus on socialising, enjoyment, exercise and personal interests. Residents can take part in activities in small groups, enjoy larger-scale activities at De Gasterij, or opt for one-to-one attention.

At Abbingahiem, staff, volunteers, residents and family members work together to create a warm, welcoming and caring living environment. A place where caring for one another, a sense of community and meaningful interactions take centre stage every day.
