Volunteer wanted: quiet male buddy (40+) for fun activities 
 
Are you a quiet, committed man aged 40 or over and do you enjoy socialising, cycling and the occasional outdoor café? Besides, do you like supporting someone's self-confidence and independence? Then we are looking for you! 

About the man 
You will go out with a friendly and social man with mild intellectual disability and autism. Clarity, structure and predictability are very important to him. With a calm and reliable buddy, he feels at ease and can enjoy fine activities together. 
He has wide interests: he loves cats and other animals, loves cooking (and is especially a fan of Japanese cuisine!) and enjoys going out. Think cycling together, going to a terrace or just having a nice chat.

 
What will you do? 
-Cycling or walking together 
-Have a nice drink on a terrace 
-Cooking together or talking about food (e.g. Japanese cuisine) 
-Perhaps meet some animals or do something involving animals 
-Calm and predictable interactions 

What is he looking for in a mate? 
-A man aged 40 or over 
-Someone who is calm, clear and patient 
-Someone who values structure and keeps to agreements 
-Someone who enjoys simple, cosy moments together 
-A friend who enjoys cycling and likes to pop into a café now and then.

 
What do we offer you? 
We start with an on-site introduction. Is there a click? Then we arrange the practical matters, such as a VOG and a volunteer agreement.

Practical information 
Location: Wijnhornsterstraat 30, Huizumerhof site in Leeuwarden  

-Times: By arrangement 
-Frequency: 1 to 2 times a month (2–3 hours each time) 
-Remuneration: No volunteer allowance, but travel expenses are reimbursed 
-VOG: Compulsory (costs are reimbursed) 
-Training: Possible by arrangement 
-ANBI: Yes
