Theatre De Bres

Theatre De Bres is a theatre studio/vest pocket theatre in Leeuwarden city centre, housed in a former gymnasium built in 1886. With a grandstand, flat playing floor, theatre spots and a music installation, the space is very suitable for presentations, musical performances and television recordings, among other things.

Mission: 'for teaching and amusement'
Theatre De Bres is an independent venue for social debate and is a stage for cabaret, poetry, (acoustic) music and small-scale theatre performances. In addition, Theatre De Bres makes the building and facilities available to third parties for activities, which fit within the objectives of De Bres in the broad sense. Its mission is to create accessible access to opinion-forming and culture, with an emphasis on meeting and development.
