Animal care volunteer

Animals play an important role at Hiddema State. They bring a sense of calm, rhythm, connection and a sense of everyday life to the farmyard. We are looking for dedicated volunteers who are happy to roll up their sleeves and help look after our animals. Together, we care for our animals.

What will you do?

• Feeding the animals
• Looking after stables and animal enclosures
• Health and welfare checks
• Maintenance of meadows and farmyards
• Daily care tasks
• Support at the care farm

When?
All year round

Regular volunteer
Preferably at least 1 day or 2 half-days a week, but more is also welcome.

On-call volunteer
Versatile

Times
08.30 – 15.00

• Working with animals (chickens, goats and horses) in a natural environment
• Spending a lot of time outdoors
• Varied and meaningful work
