Become a volunteer at FVC – get involved in a way that suits you!

Do you enjoy being around people, making new contacts and making a difference to a friendly club in Leeuwarden? If so, we’d love to meet you!

FVC Leeuwarden is a fast-growing and committed football club based at Sportpark Wiarda. With nearly 700 members, 50 teams and a wide range of activities, there’s always something going on at our club. To ensure everything runs smoothly, we could really do with the help of enthusiastic volunteers.

At FVC, there are all sorts of opportunities. Perhaps you’d like to:

• to welcome visitors and teams warmly;
• to help out behind the bar or in the canteen from time to time;
• carrying out small odd jobs at the sports ground;
• to assist at matches, tournaments or other activities;
• to carry out administrative or organisational tasks;
• to contribute ideas on communication, sponsorship or events;
• to support a team as a leader, mentor or trainer;
• or simply to step in now and then where needed.

You certainly don’t need to know anything about football. We mainly look at what you enjoy, what you’re good at and how much time you have available. This could be on a weekly basis, but also now and then, for a few hours a month or just during certain activities.

This volunteering opportunity, for example, is ideal for someone who would like to meet new people, get out and about more, has just retired, or simply wants to make a difference to others and to the club. Whether young or old: anyone who wants to feel at home at FVC is welcome.

We are looking for enthusiastic and committed people who would like to become part of our club. No experience of volunteering or knowledge of football is required.

What we consider important:

• you enjoy interacting with other people;
• You are friendly, reliable and honour your commitments;
• you’d like to contribute to the club;
• you are able to work independently, but also to work as part of a team;
• You’re open to tasks that suit your interests, abilities and the time you have available.

We’ll decide together how much time you have available. This could be on a weekly basis, but it could also be occasionally or for a specific activity. We’ll focus mainly on what you enjoy and which tasks suit you best.
