Greunshiem – Companion for a 58-year-old man with an intellectual disability to take part in enjoyable activities

A 58-year-old man with an intellectual disability is looking for a companion to go on an outing with him to a pet shop, Mediamarkt, Intratuin, the railway museum, the zoo or a petting farm.

Just visiting and having a cup is also very cosy. It's mainly about being together.

It is an enjoyable leisure activity and offers an opportunity for further personal development. You can mean a lot to another person.

If there is a good click from both sides, a VOG is applied for and a volunteer agreement is drawn up. You are insured during your volunteer work and receive a Christmas package from the organisation in December and a small gift around volunteer day.
You will also receive the newsletter for volunteers.
You are entitled to a travel allowance, if applicable.

Of course, you will first get to know each other and drop by for a cup of coffee so you can get to know each other a little. In addition, you will receive the necessary guidance from the staff on site and you will also be inducted.

Reliability, integrity and good social manners are important. You have an affinity with people with disabilities.

The most important thing is that there must be a good rapport between the volunteer and the client. Volunteering must be of added value to both parties. You must also be reliable and stick to your commitments.
