Coordinator blog with autism

We are looking for an autistic volunteer to coordinate the blogs published on our website.

On our blog website Autism is multifaceted a blog by someone with autism appears every week. Because several bloggers collaborate, we show the versatility of autism. There is an editor who checks the blogs and puts them on the website, which you do not have to do. However, you are responsible for further coordination.

What are the tasks?
 
-You communicate with bloggers about when they can submit a blog. 
-You will create a schedule of blogs that have been committed and assign them to an editorial board member. 
-You will participate monthly in the coordinators' meeting through Teams (1 hour). 
-When a comment arrives on a blog, log into the website and assess whether it is not spam. 
-You keep in touch with editorial board members and meet with them via Teams a few times a year. 
-You compile blogs on the same topic twice a year together in a pdf file. 
-You will organise an online meeting for all bloggers via Teams twice a year. 
-You will conduct intake interviews with new bloggers several times a year.


What does the organisation offer the volunteer?

-You will contribute to better knowledge about autism in adults, from the perspective of people with autism themselves.
-You will be part of a team of more than 45 autistic adults. You will get to know new people with autism. Our working methods are geared to autistic characteristics.
-You are clearly told what is expected of you. We work with written out job descriptions and guidelines.
-You can do this volunteering from home, from anywhere in the Netherlands or Belgium. All contact takes place via e-mail, WhatsApp and Teams.


What does the organisation ask of the volunteer?

-You can work well independently and take action yourself without needing to be reminded. 
-You can communicate well verbally and in writing about the work. 
-You want to learn to lead in a voluntary context or already have experience in this.
