Description

Creative person wanted!

The Fries Landbouwmuseum will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2026. With a new course that focuses on food and social themes, we are building on the future. For communication and visibility, we are looking for creative volunteers who want to make a difference with strong design.

As a designer, you will give our events and activities a professional look. You design posters, flyers and brochures that stand out and appeal to visitors. You work with Canva and have an eye for style and detail.

What does the organisation offer the volunteer?

You will gain practical museum experience within a small and close-knit team and have the opportunity to follow courses or training. You will meet new people and work with enthusiastic colleagues in the cultural and heritage sector. This results in valuable collaborations, new contacts and a nice reference within the sector. The work you produce is visible to the public and can be used for your portfolio. Every year, we organise a joint activity with all the volunteers. Naturally, there is an expense allowance.

What does the organisation ask of the volunteer?

You feel involved in culture and heritage and like to actively contribute to it. With your enthusiasm, you take on designs with attention and think about what could be better or more beautiful. You work independently on your assignments and easily coordinate ideas and choices with colleagues, so that everything together has one strong image. We will discuss when and how often you are available. Experience is welcome, but not a requirement.
