Drivers wanted for our mobile MOES shop

MOES social supermarket is coming to Fryslan! With the MOES-mobiel (a former food van/mobile shop), we’re going to ensure that as many people as possible have access to healthy food. After all, fruit and veg at MOES are at least 30% cheaper than elsewhere.

We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to work as drivers and sales assistants who enjoy helping hundreds of families in the Leeuwarden area to buy fruit and vegetables at affordable prices. Once a week, twice a week, once a month – there are plenty of options available, subject to agreement. 

The MOES-Mobiel team will become a separate unit within MOES, led by a volunteer coordinator. But of course, everyone is part of MOES. At MOES, all staff members receive a 20% discount on fruit and vegetables and our homemade products. Naturally, you’ll receive a mileage allowance if you live outside the city, as well as an expense allowance to cover any costs incurred. What’s more, you’ll be working for a great organisation where everyone is welcome.

Drivers must hold at least a Category B driving licence and enjoy driving a 9-metre vehicle. Naturally, you’ll receive training before you take to the road.

All volunteers should be enthusiastic, enjoy having a chat with customers, be physically fit (as there’s some heavy lifting involved), be reliable and have time to spare. We don’t place much importance on age, background, education or experience.
