Walking buddy

Description

We are looking for a walking buddy for residents of the nursing home. You will take a resident (wheelchair) for a walk through, for example, the park. In bad weather, you can play games or have a conversation with the resident. 

What does the organisation offer the volunteer?

  • Once a year we invite you to a volunteer dinner
  • you receive a Christmas package

What does the organisation ask of the volunteer?

  • We require affinity with the somatic target group, average age of residents is around 85 years.
  • You can start conversations.
  • Walking with a resident who is wheelchair-dependent.
  • Speaking Dutch is important.
