Language support worker Stiens

We are looking for a language volunteer to provide language and cultural support at dbieb in Stiens. We are seeking a volunteer for Mondays who can work with groups at beginner level (A0). Level A0 is the beginner’s level for language learning, where a person has little or no knowledge of the language and is learning to understand and use simple words and sentences. Language volunteers support small groups during sessions where anyone with a query about learning Dutch is welcome. These are mainly status holders and newcomers who come primarily to practise speaking Dutch together. The everyday language you need to pass the integration exam, to participate in society and to be better able to cope independently in society. In addition, people have their own (learning) questions and topics, such as getting to grips with the telephone, using a computer, understanding post and forms, and knowing where to get help.

The working hours are from 10.00 am to 12.00 pm. It is also possible to work as a language support assistant on several days.

A valuable use of time with a nice motivated group of volunteers, where there is also room for sociability. No language and culture support is provided during school holidays in the North region.

Available on Monday mornings between 10.00 and 12.00, able to think on your feet and have a good command of the Dutch language. Work alongside other volunteers and deliver an enjoyable language lesson with enthusiasm and a friendly, approachable attitude.
