Living room volunteer for mornings
Description
We are looking for a living room companion who would enjoy doing activities in a shared living room (approx. 6 residents). E.g. serving coffee/tea, reading the newspaper, playing games, walking etc. Anything to make the stay more pleasant. You will do all this together with the welfare officer.
You are easy to get along with and take your own initiatives.
What does the organisation offer the volunteer?
A fun and meaningful morning in a friendly residential care home.
It is possible to help on one or more days.
Opportunity to join staff association, volunteer meeting and Christmas package.
What does the organisation ask of the volunteer?
You make contact easily and are a good listener. In consultation with the welfare officer, many things are possible to make the morning meaningful: e.g. drinking coffee, playing games, walking, doing the dishes, doing puzzles, listening to music, reading aloud, engaging in creative activities, engaging in conversation, but you can also make up your own mind.
