Matchmaker

Description

As matchmaker, you are the first point of contact for the Hobby around the Corner foundation. You accept new applications and make sure they are complete. You also look for new contacts for them in our database. Following a fixed procedure, you then make matches. Once you have made a match, you also provide some after-care. It is great fun work and you will see that you will enjoy it. You will be assigned a number of cities for which you will be responsible.

What does the organisation offer the volunteer?

Making people happy is the greatest thing there is. Many people will thank you for bringing them out of their social isolation. There are people among them who have been lonely for years.

What does the organisation ask of the volunteer?

You do need to remain friendly and understand that sometimes people can have a very difficult time. Nevertheless, stay businesslike and don't start promising things you can't deliver.
