Repairers / Handy people wanted!

Description

The repair café where neighbourhood residents can visit every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 to have broken items repaired.

They often involve electrical appliances such as coffee makers, sewing machines and lamps. But you can come to the repair café with many more things, a bicycle with a flat tyre, a chair with a leg loose. In short, too many to mention.

In addition, local residents can also call (or let the neighbourhood council know) for small jobs. Chores that people cannot do themselves and do not hire a recognised handyman for (for example: laying a tile, hanging a painting, trimming a hedge). An area in the community centre is reserved for the repairs with all kinds of tools. Part of the space is dedicated to woodworking where employees can have fun being creative. The intention is that the items made can be sold at a later stage.

For the handyman project, we are looking for handy volunteers who want to repair broken things for a few half-days a week and/or during the repair café. The job is versatile, and there is room for your own ideas and creativity.
