Volunteer housekeeping

Will you help us make the Approach House clean and tidy again? We are looking for people to join several domestic cleaning teams. You will work once every five weeks on a Monday morning.

The churches' Aanloophuis, in Leeuwarden, is a place with a homely atmosphere where people can meet. There is time for conversation, people can catch their breath or find a moment of silence. There are also games, newspapers, coffee, tea, soup and sandwiches. The guests are mostly people who are homeless, people with mental or social problems or people who have a small social network. The Aanloophuis is open all day every Saturday afternoon and Sunday.

You’ll work once every five weeks, on Monday mornings, for about two hours. Every Monday morning, the housekeeping teams spruce up our Drop-in Centre so that we can welcome our guests back into a clean home. We always have a coffee together, because it’s lovely to catch up on the weekend together! Would you like to make a meaningful and tangible contribution to the Aanloophuis in a practical way? Then join our housekeeping teams! You’ll be on duty once every five weeks on a Monday morning. We’re currently urgently looking for someone to join Team 2.
