Volunteers for the children’s play week (9–14 August 2026)

Jeugdland is the KWIL Foundation’s biggest event and has been a household name in Leeuwarden for many years. During a week packed with sport, games, creative activities and adventure, we give hundreds of children aged 6 to 12 an unforgettable summer holiday.

To make this possible, we are looking for enthusiastic volunteers who want to join us in making a difference.

As a volunteer, you’ll supervise a group of children or help out with various activities. You’ll create a safe, friendly and enthusiastic atmosphere in which every child can be themselves and enjoy taking part. No experience is necessary; you’ll receive training beforehand and you’ll never be left to your own devices. There’s always an experienced team on hand to support you.

You can help out for the whole week, but even if you’re only available for a few days, you’re very welcome. Food and drink will be provided throughout the week, and you’ll be part of an enthusiastic team of volunteers.

Would you like to meet new people, gain experience and help make children’s holidays wonderful? Then sign up to volunteer at Jeugdland, run by the KWIL Foundation. Together, we’ll make sure every child gets to experience that holiday feeling.

What does the organisation offer the volunteer?

  • The chance to meet new people and become part of a close-knit team.
