Youth buddy project
Description
Would you like to get involved as a buddy?
Leeuwarden is home to people who need help on a regular basis. There are various (small) things you can do for these people. For example, you can help them with groceries, do up a garden, babysit, be a buddy or offer help in care institutions such as playing a game together, walking, cooking for homeless people.
You fill a role for people who do not have friends, neighbours or family who can help. They may also not have the money to hire help themselves. You can make a huge difference to them! Discover how nice and valuable it can be to do something for someone else.
What does the organisation offer the volunteer?
Do you want to experience how special it is to mean something to people who desperately need your help? Would you like to make a social impact together with other young people? In addition to your commitment as a buddy, you may join our social group activities and training sessions with other young people. And you also have the space to set up your own social ideas. We can help you do so. In addition, with the Social Service Period, we offer a more challenging route in which you can develop yourself and also get a certificate for your CV! Social impact + growth= win-win!
What does the organisation ask of the volunteer?
Volunteering is voluntary but not without obligation. We expect you to stick to the agreements and communicate if you cannot keep them.
