All-round colleague wanted for maintenance work in a unique location

The Vitushof in Leeuwaren is a cemetery with a long history. Originally the place where Catholic Leeuwarden buried its deceased. Nowadays it is a general cemetery. But it remains a special place in Leeuwarden. A park to find peace, commemorate and contemplate or just walk through and enjoy.

Maintenance of the court is in the hands of a professional caretaker assisted by a small team of volunteers. The greenery in the park requires a lot of attention but the maintenance of the monuments is also an important task. The team ensures that the Vitushof is a worthy place of remembrance, a pleasant walking spot for local residents and an interesting place for those interested in Leeuwarden's history.

The maintenance team could do with some extra help from an all-round colleague who can assist with the upkeep of green spaces and listed buildings. The work can be arranged by mutual agreement. We are looking for a colleague who is handy and enjoys getting stuck in. Someone who enjoys being outdoors and keeping the park tidy. Someone who takes pride in keeping the park tidy, whether that involves landscaping or the upkeep of historic buildings. Someone who is a pleasure to work with as part of a team but who can also tackle tasks independently.
