Visit buddy for Bulgarian lady
Description
Bulgarian-speaking buddy for a Bulgarian-speaking blind lady. Walking, duo bike, listening to Bulgarian music and moving around on chair Ms enjoys doing.
Ms lives in a care home. Due to her blindness and her limited Dutch language, Ms has little contact with the other residents.
The organisation is looking for someone who speaks Bulgarian so that Ms can communicate in her own language.
Are you the one who speaks the same language as Ms, can and will give her that moment she looks forward to once or twice a week?
If so, I invite you to start responding to this vacancy.
If you have any questions or would like more infomation.
Then send an email to: metje.van.der.let@kwadrant.nl
What does the organisation offer the volunteer?
Quadrant offers you, as a volunteer, a committed organisation, good volunteer support and short lines of communication.
You will also be invited to many activities at Oorizon, receive a Christmas package at Christmas and an appreciation evening is organised once a year.
As this is a blind client, this will be addressed beforehand and there will be a meeting once or twice a year with the group of volunteers involved in Oorizon.
What does the organisation ask of the volunteer?
We as an organisation ask you as a volunteer, to be supportive and go with the pace of the resident.
It is important that the resident is taken into account during communication by talking to her calmly, that there is understanding if the resident does not understand and that, if necessary, a solution is sought together; Oorizon's guidance and care can support this.
