Tacklers wanted!

The Fries Landbouwmuseum will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2026 and is firmly setting a new course with a focus on food and social themes. With major exhibitions and a vibrant public programme, we are looking for enthusiastic volunteers who want to devote their energy to our events.

Do you love action? Then the role of events assistant is for you. You will actively participate in a variety of events and be there from start to finish. You will help with preparations, man a stand and assist where necessary. You participate in activities that suit you. There are opportunities to become a coordinator.

You will gain practical museum experience in a small team and have the opportunity to follow courses or training. You will work with enthusiastic colleagues within the cultural and heritage sector. This makes for fun collaborations and valuable contacts with different people and gives you a great reference within the sector. Every year, we organise a joint activity with all volunteers. Of course, there is an expense allowance.

You feel committed to culture and heritage and like to actively engage in it. You are enthusiastic, have an active attitude and like to tackle things. You can work independently, but also feel at home in a team. We will discuss when and how often you are available. Experience is welcome, but not a requirement.
