Fundraiser

Fundraiser

Are you good with crypto? Then we’re looking for you! At Chr. Scouting Group Burmania, we’d like to secure more grants and funding. Especially in the run-up to Burmania’s 100th anniversary in 2029. That’s why we’re looking for people with experience and a network. You’ll advise us on which grants and funding schemes would be suitable for our organisation. You’ll then help with the application process and follow-up.

You’ll be working alongside a finance team led by the treasurer. You’ll be able to carry out the work in your own time and from wherever you choose. From time to time, you’ll liaise with the team and the treasurer.

As a volunteer with Scouting, you’re doing a great job. Are you up for the adventure?

What does the organisation offer the volunteer?

In Scouting, you develop yourself through fun and challenges. This will benefit you not only whilst you’re with us, but also in your (future) work or studies.

At Burmania, you’ll be part of a close-knit group of volunteers and 250 young members. As well as adventure, having a good time is our top priority. For example, we have dinner together every Saturday evening, followed by a cosy evening of games and a campfire. There are also plenty of social events for volunteers, such as get-togethers, barbecues and hikes.

At Burmania, it’s all about being together and connecting with one another. For example, all our age groups take part in their activities at the same time, which creates a very strong sense of togetherness.

Burmania is a Christian organisation, so we adhere to Christian values and standards. We believe it is very important that everyone feels welcome in Scouting.

What does the organisation ask of the volunteer?

Burmania asks you to use your own talents to ensure our young members have a fantastic time. You can do your own thing, whilst always working as part of a team. Everyone is welcome in Scouting, whether you’re creative or technically minded, whether you’re good at planning or prefer to take things as they come. We can tailor the role to suit you; for example, we can discuss the time commitment and the duration of your role.

Social safety is important to us, so you must have a Certificate of Good Conduct and adhere to, for example, the rules on social interaction and the code of conduct.
