Mate wanted with technical talent!
Description
For an independent, positive and social resident, we are looking for a committed buddy who can go the extra mile.
The resident is blind and manages his daily life largely by himself. He knows what he wants, is enterprising and is in the middle of life. Sometimes he encounters small technical challenges, for example when using his TV or computer. With your dexterity and patience, you make a real difference.
But this call is about more than just technology.
Above all, he is looking for a buddy to do things together. Someone to chat with, go for a walk in the open air, have a cup of coffee, go to the shop or do sports together. Just going out together, laughing, having conversations and sharing daily life. He is very sociable and enjoys going out and about. He walks independently with his guide stick, but also enjoys walking with you on his arm.
Who are you?
- You are handy with computers and TV equipment
- You explain calmly and clearly
- You are sociable and connect easily
- You enjoy being active together
What does it get you?
- Valuable personal contact
- Sincere conversations and conviviality
- The feeling that your efforts really matter
With a few hours of your time, you can make a world of difference. Are you that technical talent with a warm heart? Then we would love to get in touch with you!
What does the organisation offer the volunteer?
After an initial meeting at the venue, you will have a nice cup of coffee or tea. Does it feel right for both of you? Then we arrange the next steps together. We apply for a VOG and make a volunteer agreement so that everything is neat and clear.
From then on, you are fully insured during your voluntary work. You will also receive a Christmas package, a nice gift on Care Day and you will be kept informed via our volunteer newsletter. If applicable, you will also receive a reimbursement of your travel expenses.
In short: you mean something valuable to someone else, and we take good care of you!
