A companion for a 68-year-old woman living in Leeuwarden

We are looking for a companion for a client, a 68-year-old woman, who enjoys walking and creative activities such as crocheting and knitting, but who also enjoys visiting a charity shop or Intratuin with her from time to time.

Because she has been diagnosed with ASD (autism), she prefers one-to-one interaction and doesn’t cope so well with busy environments.

She would prefer a woman who speaks Dutch.

Being a volunteer with us means you’re a fully-fledged part of the team, and we’re open to your opinions and ideas.

Every year, we organise a volunteers’ gathering to show our appreciation; a summer and Christmas drinks party with all staff, along with the accompanying Christmas hamper, is an annual tradition here, and you’ll be part of it too.

We ask you to apply for a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) online; we will send you the link. We will, of course, claim the costs back.

Furthermore, volunteering is voluntary but not without obligation. We expect that, once arrangements have been made, we can count on you. If, for any reason, you are unable to attend (which is no problem), please do let us know in good time.
