Kitchen staff wanted

We are looking for sociable fellow volunteers for 'T Kookpunt. 'T Kookpunt is an initiative which has existed since September 2023 and we cook takeaway meals every Monday. The takeaway meals can be bought by anyone for a small amount and are cooked in community centre 'Knooppunt. What is cooked is diverse and is decided each week in consultation by the volunteers. We currently consist of a team of three volunteers and would like to expand the team. We are looking for volunteers who would like to help with preparation and kitchen tasks, such as:

• Preparing recipes
• Grocery shopping
• Prepare dish
• Preparing meals for takeaway
• Cleaning

As a volunteer, you will join a small team of volunteers, where there is plenty of room for your own input. The takeaway meals are mostly collected by residents who do not have the knowledge and/or skills themselves to put a healthy and affordable (every day) meal on the table. They are very grateful to be able to pick up a tasty affordable meal through the efforts of you as a future volunteer. Besides the gratitude you get in return, Neighbourhood Centre the Node facilitates all the supplies needed to prepare a good meal.

We all enjoy preparing meals, you do not need to have catering experience but it is nice if you can cook and work independently. We find it important that you, as a volunteer, can give yourself and others room to explore. It is important that you can also take the initiative yourself, because the kitchen is not run by a chef, but we have to keep things on track through good cooperation.
