Associate foreman/foreman green employees

Description

We are looking for a cooperating foreman/woman for our green employees, they are all volunteers within Wijkvereniging and Wijkbedrijf Bilgaard. The work is initially: hoeing and litter clearing in a defined area within the Bilgaard neighbourhood. It is a wonderful work experience position!

Tasks: - ensuring that the work is carried out satisfactorily by the 'co-volunteers' according to an agreed level; - have an eye for, or want to master, subjects such as quality/level, time planning/schedule deployment of volunteers (they work in half-days and the number of hours varies considerably) and safety (working on the road); - the foreman/foreman collaborates in order to carry out the work properly together; - be able to keep records of hours; - manage resources and materials.


What does the organisation offer the volunteer?

He or she receives, work instructions and assignments directly from the coordinator/business leader of Wijkvereniging and Wijkbedrijf Bilgaard. A volunteer allowance is also available in the form of pocket money. It involves physical work outdoors, so affinity with the outdoors is important. The cooperating foreman or woman can encourage people to participate in 'green' work and be an example! A professional instruction afternoon is offered in which attention is paid to the important parts such as hoeing, working safely on the road, dress code, etc. Bilgaard is one of the largest neighbourhoods in Leeuwarden. Its population is 6,500 and the neighbourhood is home to 106 different nationalities. As a neighbourhood association, we have around 130 volunteers who are committed and reflect the inhabitants of Bilgaard. We have 700 members and between 500 and 600 members visit Bilgaard community centre every week. We also offer around 42 different activities and many projects such as: the pocket money project, neighbourhood prevention and the service team. In addition, our spaces are also available for rental to third parties.
