Mentors wanted!
Description
Mentoring Friesland is looking for volunteers who want to act as mentors. As a mentor, you look after the interests in the field of guidance, care, nursing or treatment of people who are not (fully) able to do so. These are often people with a mental disability, people with psychiatric problems or elderly people with dementia, who no longer have family or others who can do this for them. In addition to liaising with the client, a mentor also liaises with social workers and ensures that the client actually receives the help and care he needs. A mentor is not responsible for financial decisions. Mentoring is a challenging and varied job and is appointed by the cantonal judge. The mentor can arrange his or her own time, making it easy to combine mentoring with other activities such as your work and hobbies. Mentoring will cost you around 6 to 8 hours a month, you will receive expert support, including an introductory course, you will be insured and receive an expense allowance.
