Support for the Landzijde Day Centre for young people with dementia
For our Landzijde day centre in Hurdegaryp, which caters for young people with dementia, we are looking for volunteers who enjoy keeping active!
On weekdays, six participants aged between 55 and 75 take part in supervised activities such as pottery, woodwork, painting, cycling on a DuoBike, walking or gardening. We use a weekly programme to support these activities.
Are you available for a few hours once a week and can you identify with any of the above activities? Then we are looking for you!
What does the organisation offer the volunteer?
-A meaningful and valued leisure activity, gaining new contacts and an opportunity to gain experience with this target group.
-Travel expenses
What does the organisation ask of the volunteer?
- Be available at least once a week for half a day.
- You are motivated and have an affinity with the target group.
- Possess communication skills.
-Be able to speak and understand Dutch.
- Being able to understand Frisian. (Not absolutely necessary)
