Chess or checkers enthusiast wanted who also likes to go out!

For a friendly, humorous 80-year-old man, we are looking for an involved buddy (preferably a woman) who enjoys spending time together.

Sir is wheelchair-bound, but does not let that stop him from enjoying his hobbies and outings. He likes playing draughts and chess, likes thinking about the Dutch language and enjoys puzzles and quizzes. He would also like to go out more often, for instance to a flea market or a museum.

We are looking for a buddy that:

Spontaneous and sociable
Has humour and connects easily
Kind and patient
Can handle a wheelchair (or wants to learn to do so)
Enjoys doing both indoor and outdoor activities together

After an initial meeting at the venue, you will have a nice cup of coffee or tea. Does it feel right for both of you? Then we arrange the next steps together. We apply for a VOG and make a volunteer agreement so that everything is neat and clear.

From then on, you are fully insured during your voluntary work. You will also receive a Christmas package, a nice gift on Care Day and you will be kept informed via our volunteer newsletter. If applicable, you will also receive a reimbursement of your travel expenses.

In short: you mean something valuable to someone else, and we take good care of you!
