Language support worker dbieb Leeuwarden
Description
We are looking for language volunteers for language and cultural support in dbieb. Language volunteers guide small groups during meetings where everyone is welcome with a need to learn the Dutch language. These are mainly status holders/newcomers who come mainly to practice speaking the Dutch language together. The spoken language you need to pass the civic integration exam, to participate and to be able to manage better independently in society. In addition, people have their own (learning) questions and topics, such as getting around on the phone, working with the computer, understanding mail/forms and knowing where to get help.
No classes are held during regular school holidays.

What does the organisation ask of the volunteer?
- Available on one or more days (Monday to Friday mornings from 10am-12pm).
- Be able to improvise.
- A good command of the Dutch language.
Currently, we are especially looking for language supporters who can work with first-time learners. This target group speaks only their mother tongue and no or minimal Dutch yet.
