Traffic controllers
Description
We are looking for traffic controllers who would like to help with the 80th Leeuwarden Evening Marches. This event will be held from 1 to 4 June 2026. If you would like to help our participants cross the road safely, please register with our foundation.
The start is at the Cage Stadium at Stadionplein.
At 18:00, the runners running the 10 km will start and at 18:30, the runners running the 5 km will start.
You will receive a clear explanation of what is expected of a volunteer/traffic controller after signing up.
What does the organisation offer the volunteer?
A free e-learning for event traffic controllers that you can do at home behind your own computer or laptop; you will receive the login details from Mr Mellema; the duration of the e-learning cannot be specified; on the evenings, when you are a traffic controller, you will wear a recognised vests handed out by the equipment manager; consumption tokens to have a drink afterwards in the Restaurant Joining the start location.
What does the organisation ask of the volunteer?
Willing to take an e-learning event traffic controller; available at least 1 evening from about 17:00. Possible start time by arrangement.
The evening four-day walk lasts until about 21:00 on the first three evenings. On the last evening, the finishing time is later due to the final parade and the distribution of medals.
