Stichting De Nije Symfony was founded in 2020 with the aim of securing the practice of amateur symphonic art in Fryslân for the future. By working on a project basis, selecting participants, the foundation wants to bind enthusiastic young people to iconic classical music. With its project orchestra, the foundation also wants to tap new target groups for this music genre.

You can make beautiful things as a foundation, but if people don't know about it, it doesn't get anywhere. That is why we try to organise targeted publicity around our concerts and events. Both on the website and on socials (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok), videos are the way to go these days. Hence, we are looking for support from someone who can and wants to help us get visual material for the PR of our projects.

What does the organisation offer the volunteer?

  • access the heart of symphonic music, we'll talk you through all the ins and outs of the repertoire, playing in a symphony orchestra and the context of the concert (that will make you wiser and help you contribute to our PR)
  • free tickets to our concerts
  • a look behind the scenes of a symphony orchestra

What does the organisation ask of the volunteer?

We are looking for an enthusiastic amateur on video

  • some experience with video, image construction, editing
  • interest in or experience with classical music
  • interest in marketing and PR
