Volunteer at the Social Food Garden - enjoy working outdoors while doing something for someone else
Description
Do you enjoy being outdoors, meeting new people and contributing to healthy and local food for the neighbourhood? Then you are most welcome as a volunteer at Social Food Gardens Leeuwarden.
At the garden on Schieringerweg (green strip near no 61), we work together with local residents, harvesters and volunteers to create a green, social and accessible place for everyone. We also support several smaller gardens in Leeuwarden East. Would you like to help out at the gardens in Bilgaard, Heechterp-Schieringen or the Vrijheidswijk? Let us know and together we will see what fits.
On Schieringerweg (green strip near no 61), we work with volunteers on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. You can sign up for mornings (9.00 to 12.00) and/or afternoons (13.00 to 16.00). Experience is not necessary: if you feel like joining in, you are welcome. There are different roles at the garden, so there is always something to suit you. You can join where your interests lie, and of course you may alternate.
