Heart for the elderly? Become a volunteer at the day centre
Description
Do you enjoy doing something for someone else? As a volunteer at our day centre, you will give elderly people with memory problems a pleasant and enjoyable day.
As a volunteer, you will be the extra hands and eyes for the supervisor. The group consists of a maximum of eight elderly people, but this can vary from day to day. Together with the supervisor, you think up activities and help carry them out. Think about playing a game or being creative.
During coffee time, you pour coffee or tea and create a nice atmosphere. Most importantly, you give visitors attention, listen to them and make them feel warm and safe.
What does the organisation offer the volunteer?
You will work in a small and friendly team where there is a lot of cooperation. You get to think about fun activities for the elderly. You will also receive a Christmas present and can participate free of charge in training courses offered through Kwadrant.
What does the organisation ask of the volunteer?
We find it important that you have a feeling for elderly people with memory problems and that you want to commit to our organisation for a longer period of time.
The day centre is open from 09:30 to 16:00. Therefore, it is nice if you are available to help out for a full or half day.
