At events and in emergencies, Red Cross volunteers are on standby, as are the volunteers from the Liaison Service. The Liaison Service is crucial for ensuring effective collaboration and coordinating efforts at events and in emergencies. 
The Red Cross has its own walkie-talkies and mobile phones for communication during emergency assistance. The size of the network can vary from two walkie-talkie users to an extensive network with its own control room.
