About COC Friesland
COC Friesland is committed to an inclusive society where everyone can be themselves - regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression or gender characteristics. We provide information, organise meetings and activities, and represent the interests of the rainbow community. As a regional branch of the national COC, we are active throughout the province of Friesland.
What will you do?
As volunteer coordinator, you are the first point of contact for our volunteers. You ensure that everyone feels welcome, ends up in the right place and feels connected to our organisation. Specifically, this means that you:
- Does intakes and liaises with new volunteers;
- vacancies in coordination with the board;
- welcome and add new volunteers to the appropriate group apps;
- the mailbox vrijwilligers@cocfriesland.nl manages;
- be a point of contact for current volunteers who want to take up another task (temporarily);
- does annual check-ins with coordinators to hear what's going on and what's going on;
- organises the volunteer outing twice a year (in June and December).
Who are you?
- You have an affinity with COC's mission and are happy to commit to the rainbow community.
- You are communicatively strong, organised and know how to keep an overview.
- You are a good listener and know how to put people at ease.
- You enjoy coordinating activities and connecting volunteers.

What does COC Friesland ask of you as a volunteer?
We are looking for someone who has an affinity with COC Friesland's mission and enjoys working for the rainbow community. You are strong in both written and oral communication and have a feel for matching tasks to the right person - experience with this is an advantage.
In addition, you are decisive, show initiative and can work well together, but also independently. For this position, we ask for a commitment of approximately 4 hours per week, in which you can largely organise your time yourself.
