Become a campsite manager and organise a Neighbourhood Camping in your neighbourhood

Description

Every year, together with our Neighbourhood Makers, we transform parks throughout the Netherlands into cosy Neighbourhood Camps. For three days, the park turns into a vibrant meeting place, open to all people in the neighbourhood. Neighbours of all ages and backgrounds come together to get to know each other better and enjoy a holiday in their own park. It doesn't matter how old you are, where you come from or what kind of house you live in - everyone is welcome! Camping together makes for a nice neighbourhood where you know, greet and help each other.

As campsite manager you will make a difference in your neighbourhood. You bring people together, organise an unforgettable weekend and make sure everything runs smoothly. Being a campsite manager requires dedication, flexibility and a love of organising.

Of course, you don't do this alone: together with an enthusiastic team of 3 to 5 neighbourhood colleagues, you work about 2 to 4 hours a week for six months. You will receive support with permits, funds and promotion, follow a (super fun) training via De Buurtcampus and receive a volunteer's allowance.

What does the organisation offer the volunteer?

  • The most fun training programme in the Netherlands: The Neighbourhood Campus
  • The opportunity to expand your network
  • You get a lot of responsibility
  • You can really implement your own ideas for The Neighbourhood Camping
  • Volunteer allowance

What does the organisation ask of the volunteer?

  • 2-4 hours per week for 6 months (more hours in the last weeks)
  • Dedication
  • Enthusiasm to organise a great Neighbourhood Camping
  • That you are open to learning new things
  • Ability to collaborate
  • That you take responsibility
