Dealing well with dementia

The gentleman from three houses away keeps looking around so confused... A customer in the supermarket panics because she cannot find her shopping list... A visitor does not understand how the glass revolving door in the shop works...Do you recognise the signs of dementia?

Leeuwarden municipality, together with Netwerk Dementie Fryslân and Amaryllis, is organising a free training course 'GOED omgaan met dementie'. During this training you will learn what is important when you come into contact with people with dementia. You will learn to recognise dementia, how to make contact and how best to help someone with dementia. You can sign up here.

To prepare for this training, you can take one or more online courses via the website of samendementia friendly. These online training sessions last about 15 minutes.
