Humanitas Child at Home

When parents are (temporarily) overburdened by illness or some other reason, it can be nice for a child to be in a different family every week. Support parents offer the opportunity for a child or young person to participate in daily family life.

Just ordinary things like playing a game, baking biscuits, doing crafts or just doing nothing for a while can mean a lot to a child. This can be an afternoon a week or a weekend. It depends on what the support parents want to offer and what the child needs.

Support parents can be singles or families with or without children. It is important that support parents want to open their home and heart and give positive attention to a child. These support parents are offered prior training by Humanitas and a VOG is applied for. Support parents and the requesting parent(s) receive support from Humanitas during the coupling.
