Visiting a doctor, specialist or other healthcare provider can be exciting. Humanitas Hospital Assistance is for people who are reluctant to go alone and have no one around them to go with them. Sometimes people are also not sufficiently mobile and need help with transport. In addition, people often like having someone accompany them to a doctor's appointment to better understand what is being said. Humanitas volunteers provide this guidance.

The volunteer may ride along with the taxi and listen in on the doctor. Often the conversation with the doctor is reviewed. 
For people who can attend the appointment themselves, a meeting will be arranged at the venue.
For travel expenses, the volunteer's car can also be used. 

From February 2026, the method of applying for Hospital Assistance has changed. We ask you to complete the digital application form on our website from now on.
