Children's holiday weeks
There are children for whom, for whatever reason, going on holiday does not come naturally. For these children, we organise holiday weeks in the summer holidays. The children experience a great week together, full of fun, adventures, relaxation, sports and games. For volunteers, it is just as much of a fantastic experience! 

The children from Leeuwarden go to Camping farm 't Hoefijzer in Zwiggelte and Green camping farm in Oudermirdum. Every week, between 30 and 40 children go along. The groups are divided by age. Supervision is in the hands of a team of 14-16 volunteers who share the week's tasks. The children are picked up and dropped off, so own transport is not necessary.

The format is as follows:

• 11 - 12 years: Sunday 13 to Friday 18 July in Zwiggelte
• 9 - 10 years: Monday 14 to Saturday 19 July in Oudemirdum
• 6 - 8 years: Monday 21 to Saturday 26 July in Oudemirdum

For children who need extra guidance, for example because of autism or ADHD, there is a separate week. This week is called ZOMEROPVANG and takes place from 18 August to 22 August in Oudemirdum. More information on the Summer Care

Registration and afterwards
Would you like to register one or more children? Fill in the digital application form. Pre-registration Children's holiday weeks or summer childcare. After registration, there is an intake meeting at parent and child's home, where everything is discussed and explained. This is followed by an assessment of whether there is a suitable place for the child.
Our holiday weeks are organised safely and securely. Volunteers are expertly supervised and work according to the quality standards of the Quality Mark Children's Holiday Weeks.
