Buddies for ex-prisoners

Back at large after detention.

Now what?

After a period of detention, you are free again. And when you are free, there is often a lot to sort out, but you don't have to do it alone.

A volunteer from Solidair Friesland can help you. Among other things, the volunteer can help you with:

  • Going through your post;
  • Supporting difficult conversations;
  • Filling in forms;
  • Just listening to you;
  • Walking together or drinking coffee;
  • Finding work;
  • Making new friends.

Could you use some help from a volunteer?

If so, please tell a member of staff at the Amaryllis Neighbourhood Team. They will then arrange an appointment for you.

Particulars:

Should the local resident (ex-prisoner) be interested in a buddy.

Then the Amaryllis staff member, the local resident can register via mef@solidairfriesland.nl

An intake session then takes place, attended by a local resident, a member of staff from Amaryllis and the project coordinator from MEF (Maatjes Ex-gedetineerden Friesland).
