Support families/support parents wanted for children!

When parents are (temporarily) overburdened by illness or another reason, it can be nice for a child to be with another family on a weekly basis. This allows a child to receive the love and attention it needs and parents are temporarily relieved. A support family offers the opportunity for a child or young person to participate in their daily family life. This can be one half-day a week or once every two weeks. This is done in consultation and depends on what the support family wants to offer and what the child needs. Support families can be singles, families with or without children, grandparents. What is important is that they want to open their heart and home and give positive attention to a child. A VOG is offered and you will receive a short preparatory training. During the pairing, both the supporting and the requesting family receive support from Humanitas.

We, Richart and Ellen, have been dedicating ourselves for many years to helping people affected by cancer. This is where the walk-in studio came into being, a place where people can express themselves creatively. Together, they can explore and experience life's challenges by working visually. Now we want to set up a foundation and we are looking for a board of directors who want to do this together with us. We are looking for enthusiastic people who feel involved with the target group. We are looking for a chairman and a secretary, we already have a treasurer. Discussion leader support group

The Depression Association brings together people who have experienced depression (or several). We also call this 'fellow sufferers'. To fellow sufferers, we offer the opportunity to share experiences among themselves. What is a support group? A support group is a form of self-help. Such a group consists of about eight people who have, or have had, depression. They meet twice a month to exchange experiences and discuss how they deal with their depression in daily life and what they encounter. Anything to do with depression can be discussed in these groups. As a discussion facilitator, you guide the group process and make sure everyone feels safe. We are looking for two facilitators for a group in Leeuwarden. A discussion facilitator has experience with depression himself and wants to use this experience for others who are going through, or have gone through, depression. To guide a group well, it is necessary that you are able to use your own experience, but not see it as a guide for others. You are able to rise above your own experience of depression. You are able to give participants space to find their own way. This makes every participant feel accepted. Take a look at the site of the Depression Association. When you express your interest, you will be invited for a digital introductory interview.

The organisation is committed to nature conservation and nature education in Iran. Giving lectures etc. in retirement homes, district and community centres, companies and institutions, among others. The work is done on an on-call basis, if there is a need for a lecture etc, the volunteer will be called to ask if he/she is available for the lecture etc. Travel expenses etc. are reimbursed by the foundation.

Visitors gather here daily for a meaningful day. It is small-scale and efforts are made to provide a nice, welcoming place to be. Innez offers various forms of group counselling ( day care) for different target groups. Group counselling provides structure and a meaningful completion of the day for people who need support and experience little social interaction. It helps to engage in activities, create a healthy daily routine and increase self-reliance. In addition, group counselling can also relieve the burden on informal carers, which can help them to live independently for longer. It not only promotes social interaction, but also supports in building a healthy routine and strengthening self-reliance.

Do you want to get involved in making Leeuwarden accessible to people with disabilities. We are looking for a Chairman & Secretary

WTgL is an independent working group. We stand up for the interests of people with disabilities. This concerns physical, social and digital accessibility. We consist of a group of people with experience. People without disabilities who feel involved in this subject can also join. The WTgL works partly on the basis of the Local Inclusion Agenda (LIA) of the municipality of Leeuwarden. The LIA sets out how the municipality is working on accessibility and inclusion. The LIA is about all life domains. The WTgL works together with the municipality and with many social organisations, interest groups, entrepreneurs to raise awareness, maintain contacts, give solicited and unsolicited advice. Furthermore, we think along about policy and its implementation. We give presentations and workshops on accessibility. We also inspect locations for accessibility (e.g. public buildings, catering establishments, schools, public spaces).
