Chess club Philidor 1847

Simultaneous chess

In a chess simulation, one (usually strong) player plays against more than one player at a time. The boards are set up in a circle. The simultaneous player walks along the boards and makes a move at each board. The opponents get exactly as much thinking time per move as the simultaneous player needs to walk around the circle. When the simultaneous player arrives at a board, the opponent must make his move immediately, after which the simultaneous player makes a countermove and moves on to the next board.
