Buddy at Humaantjes

Can you be a good listener and take the time for a conversation? Then Humaantjes is for you. Activities can be undertaken together with the participant, because together you dare more than alone!

We assist people who temporarily cannot manage to improve their situation on their own. We aim to increase self-reliance and improve contacts. We do this as much as possible on the basis of equality and reciprocity. We aim to make ourselves redundant again by bringing people into contact with others with the same interests, preferably in their neighbourhood.

There can be all kinds of reasons for someone to want a buddy. A buddy to do things with, a buddy as a listening ear, a buddy who just comes to visit. A buddy who, if possible, helps to expand the participant's network. Taking those steps together that someone would not take alone, for whatever reason.

Through Humanitas, you’ll come into contact with a wide range of people who all have a specific need for a buddy. Together with your coordinator, you’ll work out who you’re best suited to. Humanitas also offers all sorts of opportunities to develop your skills as a volunteer.
