Buddy wanted for Ukrainian youngster!

For a Ukrainian boy we are looking for a buddy! From Solidair Friesland we organise activities for the residents of the Ukrainian emergency shelter locations. In some cases, we also offer one-to-one counselling.

The boy has been in the Netherlands for 3 years and finds it difficult to connect. We are looking for someone who wants to walk, draw or go out with him once a week. For this, you can also join the activities we already offer.

What does the organisation offer the volunteer?

You will receive guidance from the coordinator and can always turn to him if you run into something. Volunteer meetings will be organised, in which we evaluate, but also carry out assignments and exercises together. You will also receive a t-shirt from us, so that you are highly visible.

We are looking for a volunteer who:

  • Patience

Pre: experience with young people

What are your duties:

  • Undertaking an activity with the youngsters every week or once every 2 weeks
  • Creating structure
  • Introducing the boy to Dutch society
